Privacy Policy

Alchemist's Legacy ("the game") is made by Robert Pirv ("we"), who is responsible for the personal data described here. This policy explains what the game uses, why, who receives it and the choices you have. Contact: support@alchemistslegacy.com.
The game isn't out yet. This policy describes it as it will be at launch.
In short
- Your progress and settings stay on your phone.
- Gameplay statistics are sent only if you say yes, and you can change your answer in the game's Settings.
- The game shows ads. Advertising companies receive device information to show and measure them. Whether they can use it for personalised ads is your choice.
- We don't ask for your real name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.
What stays on your phone
The game saves your progress, the name and portrait you choose, your settings, a level you left unfinished, and a log of your play with a random identifier. We don't receive any of this. Deleting the game deletes it, although your phone's own backups may keep a copy until they are replaced.
Gameplay statistics
The game asks the first time you open it, and nothing is sent unless you say yes. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Analytics.
If you say yes, the game sends statistics such as which levels are started, won, lost or left and how long they took, how gold is earned and spent, which power-ups and offers are used, and error reports. They come with an identifier for the game on your device (on iPhone, the app vendor identifier, not the advertising identifier), your device model and system version, session times, and the country your connection comes from.
They don't include your name or contact details. We use them to make levels fairer and to fix bugs. GameAnalytics processes them on our behalf.
Advertising
The game shows two kinds of ad: rewarded ads you choose to watch, for example for an extra tray slot, and short ads between some levels, which buying No Ads removes.
Ads are served through AppLovin and Unity Ads. They may receive your IP address, device information (such as model, system version, language, network type and identifiers for the app or device), and information about how you interact with ads. They use it to choose, show and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
You choose whether they can use this for personalised ads:
- In the EU, EEA and UK, the game asks for your consent first.
- On iPhone, the game asks before it tracks you across other companies' apps, and it can read your advertising identifier only if you allow it. You can change this in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- In the game, you can change your consent in Settings → Privacy options.
If you decline, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalised. AppLovin and Unity decide how they handle this data under their own privacy policies, linked below, and they offer their own controls:
- AppLovin: see How AppLovin Shows You Ads, or use its Privacy Management app from the App Store.
- Unity: tap the Data Privacy icon inside a Unity ad.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Apple. We don't see or store your payment details. We learn only that a purchase was made, so the game can deliver it.
If you write to us
We use your email address and message to reply. Email to our address is forwarded by Namecheap and kept in a Gmail account provided by Google. We keep messages for as long as we need them to help you, then delete them.
Who receives what
| Company | Why | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| GameAnalytics | Gameplay statistics, on our behalf, if you say yes | GameAnalytics |
| AppLovin | Choosing, showing and measuring ads | AppLovin |
| Unity | Showing and measuring ads | Unity |
| Apple | Purchases and the App Store | Apple |
| Namecheap, Google | Delivering and storing email you send us | Namecheap, Google |
| GitHub | Hosting this website | GitHub |
Some of these companies process data outside the EU and EEA, including in the United States. GameAnalytics does so under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. The others describe their safeguards in their own policies.
Why we're allowed to use it
Under the GDPR, we rely on:
- Your consent for gameplay statistics and personalised ads. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Our agreement with you to deliver what you buy and the rewards for ads you choose to watch.
- Our legitimate interests to show non-personalised ads, which pay for the game, and to prevent ad fraud.
How long it's kept
Information on your phone stays until you delete the game. GameAnalytics keeps gameplay statistics for up to 18 months, then deletes them. AppLovin and Unity keep data as their own policies describe.
Your rights
If you're in the EU, EEA or UK, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, ask for a copy of it, restrict or object to its use, and withdraw consent. Write to support@alchemistslegacy.com.
Gameplay statistics are tied to a random identifier, not to your name, so we may not be able to find yours from your email address alone. We'll tell you if we need anything more from you. Turning off Analytics stops any more being sent.
For data AppLovin or Unity hold, use their controls above or contact them directly.
You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Romania, that's ANSPDCP.
Children
The game isn't directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EU and EEA, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has shared data with us, write to us and we'll help remove it.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no analytics. GitHub, which hosts it, logs visitors' IP addresses for security.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the game.
